Most shrimp recipes take way too much time to prepare and not everyone has hours to dedicate towards making a decent meal. This easy lemon butter shrimp recipe is an excellent go-to option for anyone running short on time, where the magical ingredient cannabutter is used.

If you don’t have any and don’t know how to make cannabutter, then don’t worry. Here you will find an easy cannabutter recipe that anyone can replicate, and once you have that down the rest is a breeze.

How to make cannabutter with a slow cooker

This cannabutter recipe will knock your socks off with potency, so if you are new to edibles, or concerned about overconsumption, you can always use less cannabis to produce a weaker product.

Ingredients

  • 1 stick of butter (unsalted)
  • 10 grams of cannabis

Tools

  • Weed grinder
  • Cheesecloth
  • Slow cooker
  • Containers

Instructions

  1. Grind the cannabis to an even ground and add it along with the stick of butter to your slow cooker.

  2. Adjust the temperature to its lowest setting, cover and leave the mixture to cook for anywhere from 3-6 hours. Longer time will result in a more potent tasting cannabutter.

  3. Use a piece of cheesecloth or fine mesh strainer to remove all the cannabis particles while the liquid is poured into a heat resistant storage container.

  4. Allow the butter to cool to room temperature and refrigerate the cannabutter to keep for up to one month.

How to make cannabutter in the oven

Not everyone has a slow cooker on hand, and that’s ok! This method will just take a bit more paying attention and patience to get it right. However, once you have either of these cannabutter recipes mastered, you can go on to make some incredible edibles of all kinds with little to no effort at all.

Ingredients

  • 1 stick of cannabutter
  • 10 grams of cannabis

Tools

  • Weed grinder
  • Cheesecloth
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Small cooking pot
  • Spoon
  • Heat resistant container
  • Medium saucepan

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F.

  2. While you wait, grind the cannabis using weed grinder, then prepare the baking sheet with a layer of parchment paper.

  3. Spread the cannabis grind across the baking sheet and bake it in the oven for 45 minutes.

  • While the grind is baking, it is a good idea to flip it and move it around every 15 minutes to avoid scalding

  • Add water to a saucepan and place it onto a burner.

  • Set the smaller pot inside and fill it with the herb grind and butter.

  • Set the temperature to a medium heat and wait for the butter to melt.

  • Once the mixture reaches a simmer, let it remain for 3 to 5 hours, as any hotter can burn the butter. This is going to require close monitoring and adding more water to the saucepan as needed.

  • Once it has finished cooking, remove the pot from the heat, then strain the butter by placing a few sheets of cheesecloth over the opening of the storage container then pour the butter through to remove the excess plant materials.

  • Allow the cannabutter to cool to room temperature. Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to one month.

    Ingredients

    • 1 lb. of shrimp
    • 1/3 cup of cannabutter
    • Half of a lemon (juiced)
    • 2 tablespoons of water
    • 1 tablespoon of parsley
    • Salt and pepper (to taste)

    Tools

    • Saucepan
    • Mixing spoon
    • Serving dishes

    Instructions

    1. Add two tablespoons of cannabutter to the saucepan and set the burner to high.

    2. Once the butter begins to sizzle, add in the shrimp and cook the pieces for approximately 3 minutes per side.

    3. Now add the remaining cannabutter to the saucepan along with the lemon juice, spices and herbs.

    4. Cook everything together until the shrimp are done to your liking.

    5. Serve alone as a side, or on top of potatoes pasta or rice.
