Christmas pudding ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup cannabutter (melted)
  • 1 cup walnuts (crushed)
  • 1 cup almonds (crushed)
  • 1 cup sultanas
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of butter (for greasing)
  • 1 teaspoon brown mixed spice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Sauce ingredients

  • 200 ml double cream
  • 100 grams light brown sugar
  • 85 grams of butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Tools

  • Mixing bowl
  • Spoon
  • Pudding pan
  • Aluminum foil
  • Steamer (or large pan filled with simmering water)
  • String or twine
  • Saucepan
  • Whisk

Instructions

  1. Add all of the dry pudding ingredients to a large mixing bowl and combine them until they are thoroughly combined.

  • Pour the mixture into a pudding pan, and cover it with three layers of aluminum foil and butter the one that will touch the top of the pudding as it rises.

  • Use string or twine to fasten the foil into place before putting it into a steamer.

  • Steam the Christmas pudding on high for at least 2 ½ hours.

  • Once the pudding is finished cooking, remove it from the steamer and move onto preparing the sauce.

  • Add the butter to a saucepan and set it on a burner at medium heat.

  • Once the butter completely melts, slowly whisk in the remaining sauce ingredients, including brown sugar, vanilla, and double cream.

  • When the mixture begins to boil and bubble, set a timer to 3 minutes, then cook the sauce until it goes off.

  • Be sure to whisk the sauce and ingredients together well to avoid scalding, as sugar will settle to the bottom. After the 3 minutes are up, remove the saucepan from the burner and set it aside.

  • Flip the Christmas pudding onto an inverted serving dish, then cover the entire thing in the thick and gooey sauce.

  • Serve immediately, freeze for later, or enjoy it cold, as no matter which way you serve this Christmas pudding, it will be delicious and provide delightfully potent effects.
