Everybody knows at least a little bit about THC, but few have any clue as to the hidden strengths and benefits that CBD can provide. The problem is that taking something that is so new can be nerve-wracking, and with CBD products being made from extracted cannabinoids from either hemp or cannabis, a lot of people are wondering if it’s safe and effective, but the most asked question by novice consumers is what does CBD feel like. So here, we will address that first before moving onto the reasons why so many people swear by it.

So, what does CBD feel like?

CBD (cannabidiol) is touted as an active cannabinoid because it has some pretty impressive benefits, but it isn’t going to make you feel much of anything. At least not in the way that you might expect from a cannabis-based product. Whether you enjoy a cartridge of CBD vape juice or sipping a huge cup of CBD coffee, it shouldn’t ever leave you feeling noticeably different or impaired in any way.

If you can't feel anything, then what is the point?

When we said that you wouldn't feel anything, that is only true if you are looking for the euphoric sensations that are often associated with recreational cannabis products. These effects are some of the most feared, but as long as you stick to pure CBD products, you won’t ever experience them. Instead, what you might notice are smaller, more natural feeling which can be a bit different that could be hard to understand at first.

Most consumers who have experiences with CBD products report sensations such as heightened awareness, an increase in appetite, a boost to energy levels, less stiffness, and a better mood. Since they tend to feel better than normal, they also often experience an increase in motivation, focus, and a subsiding of some symptoms that may be caused by medical conditions or something as simple as seasonal allergies.

If all of this sounds a bit vague and all-encompassing to you, then you should know that you aren’t alone, as consumers from all over the globe have expressed that they are feeling better in a variety of ways, and that appears to be thanks to the cannabinoids’ abilities to regulate normal bodily functions which can impact you from head to toe.

Some people use CBD to combat symptoms like headaches or pain, but it also offers neuroprotective properties that can work to help protect the brain's most vital systems. It can also reduce inflammation, improve mood, combat addiction, and help those who suffer from appetite issues. Though not everyone has great success with CBD alone, there are plenty of reasons why someone might want to add CBD to their daily regimen.

What about adverse effects?

There are a number of benefits that can be obtained through treatment or supplement with CBD, but as it is with any kind of medicine, there is always a potential for adverse effects to arise. Luckily, the side effects of CBD are typically mild, and most often caused by an allergy to an included ingredient, or a dose that is too high, both of which are solvable problems, but they can show themselves in different ways including:

  • Upset stomach
  • Cramps
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Insomnia

Is it all worth it?

CBD products might not provide an intense or euphoric buzz, but it can help to treat and prevent a broad range of common conditions and issues. Unfortunately, not every person reacts the same way to cannabinoids like CBD, so a small dose to someone else might be a significant portion for you. This makes it challenging to find the best dose as it takes time, effort, and a whole lot of experimenting.

However, on the other hand, it comes with virtually no long-term side effect unlike most traditional pharmaceutical options that are on the market today, so it very well might be worth it, but you won’t know until you try.

So why not grab a CBD coffee to go, and see what direction the future takes you in? You’ll never know, you could feel like a completely new and improved person once you’re through.
