Does CDB give you the munchies like weed? How about CBD Vs THC, which gives a stronger case of the munchies?

First and foremost, it is important to explain the meaning of the term munchies. Munchies is an increased craving for food. This usually happens after smoking marijuana. Marijuana increases one's appetite. There are two main chemicals in cannabis: CDB and THC. There is a high concentration of THC in marijuana. THC is a psychoactive chemical that can cause a person to get high when they use it. CBD does not bind at the CB1 receptor in the endocannabinoid system, unlikeTHC that does.

As a result,THC products cause an increase in a person's appetite and as some would say it gives them the munchies. This is so because THC causes an increase in the production of ghrelin, a hormone in the human body that makes a person hungry.  It is a common effect of weed, one that many smokers appreciate.

CBD products tend not to increase one's appetite in the same way that THC does. In some instances,CBD products may affect your hunger, but when compared to the effect of intense hunger caused by weed, it is a much lesser effect. One is more direct while the other may occur indirectly.

It is important to note that some CBD hemp oil products contain some amount of THC. A large dose or intake of those CBD products may have an effect on your appetite causing you to crave food more than you usually do. Conversely, a relatively small amount of CBD oil will not cause any substantial increase in your appetite. Other products that are not “CBD dominant” nor “THC dominant” but rather a combination of both, will increase the munchies. The level of THC in a product, as well as the dosage that is taken, are decisive factors in ascertaining whether there will be a significant increase in one's appetite.

As explained before CBD has no direct influence on the endocannabinoid system, it does not stimulate hunger. Experts have confirmed that munchies are not caused by CBD. However, CBD may encourage a healthy appetite. CBD can help people with anxiety issues. It makes them calmer and more relaxed, and so they tend to eat more. It can even make someone feel better about eating more. Many people may have health problems such as cancer. These diseases may put them in a debilitating state and causes them to have no appetite for food. CBD can help many persons facing these life-threatening diseases to consume more food, thereby improving their health indirectly. Weed strains like sativa can be useful recreationally as well as medicinally.

CBD can help to ease the pain, and so less pain may boost a person's appetite. Many states such as Oregon, California, New York or Colorado sells CBD infused beer as well as sweets and pastries containing CBD, good to keep in mind if Canadian and browsing the limited option of products available for Canadians.

It is highly recommended that a person should not consume a large dose of THC on an empty stomach. After consuming a high dosage of THC or CBD a person should get some food to eat to prevent a hungerstrike in their bellies, or other worse symptoms.
