Dancehall Tours - hosted by Pantason - Episode 26 - Rytikal
Welcome to Dancehall Tours a series where we interview artists about how cannabis plays a part in their music.
Today our host Pantason interviews Dancehall artiste Rytikal. New out of the EastSyde camp is the freshest breath of air to the Jamaican dancehall arena. Adding diversity to the genre is Rytikal.
Like many dancehall artistes, Rytikal said he taught himself music and the art of deejaying. Intrinsically he understood how to manipulate notes and keys to deliver his tracks. The deejay says a lot of his music is influenced by anime especially that they’re usually action-packed and ‘grimy’. He’s also fascinated with Sci-Fi and extraterrestrial phenomena. To the youths, he shares some advice and a little secret of his, “read.”
Rytikal has finally released his new single that he previously dubbed, “something for the ladies” back in July. The new single is entitled Cookie Jar, and premiered in September along with a very stimulating music video on YouTube via his label EastSyde Records.
