Hundreds of samples were collected both before and after use to test the number of impurities present that would be consumed by a vaper who uses these products. The results were astounding and concerning with over 10% of dispenser samples providing higher than what is safe levels of lead and arsenic. Their findings proved that e-cigarettes and vape pens are a potential exposure source of toxic metals including Pb, Ni, Mn, and Cr.
