Though most people might assume that stoned fruits are actually infused pieces, that couldn’t be further from the truth. The term stoned fruits, in this case, refers to a drink that was created by the Mexican restaurant Gracias Madre based in California. The restaurant has served popular treats and beverages for several decades but began experimenting with CBD oil several years ago. It turns out that CBD pairs quite nicely with the juices of a particular kind of fruit, and so the drink Stoned Fruits was born, and the trend has spread like wildfire ever since.

What are stoned fruits?

Stoned fruits are the types of fruit that have a large pit like apricots, nectarines, peaches, plums, lychees, mangos, and cherries.

What are stoned fruit drinks?

Though this term can most definitely be used to describe regular juices and drinks that are made using stoned fruit juice as a base, this particular trend uses it to refer to a cannabis-infused blend that results in a THC or CBD cocktail. The majority contain some type of alcohol base, but there are just as many that can provide a healthy dose of vitamins alongside a thirst quenching serving of natural fruit juices.

Benefits of drinking stoned fruit drinks

  1. Anxiety
Both CBD and THC edibles can help to relieve the symptoms of both anxiety and depression.

  2. Pain
CBD cocktails are often used to dull pain thanks to CBD’s anti-inflammatory properties, but THC edibles provide immediate relief.

  3. Cancer symptoms
Cancer itself can cause issues with appetite and pain, and the traditional treatments that we often use to battle the disease can create other problems like nausea, inflammation, anxiety, depression, and irritation. Both CBD and THC can help to relieve these types of symptoms.

  • Insomnia
THC and CBD cocktails can help to provide a good night’s rest, but THC edibles are thus far the most effective in this department.

  • Neuroprotective
These are several studies that have suggested that Parkinson’s, epilepsy, and Alzheimer’s patients can benefit significantly from the consumption of CBD oil. As the cannabinoid has shown the ability to decrease the symptoms felt by these patients by up to 70%.

  • Vitamins and nutrients
Stoned fruits are incredibly high in essential oils and nutrients, and all of them contain low levels of naturally sweet sugars which can help to give you a boost of energy without the crash that comes with refined sugar additives.

  • How to make cannabis-infused stoned fruit drinks

Right now, the only place you can get one of these CBD cocktails is by visiting California, but if you aren’t able to make it and are not local to the area, don’t fret. It’s easy to make your own homemade cannabis recipe. The best part is that the ingredients can be adjusted to provide the relief as well as the flavors that you might prefer.  Though the eatery has yet to release its world-famous recipes, they have given a list of the ingredients that are used in each one.
