Some advocates for cannabis are promoting less daily consumption by users. This is referred to as microdosing. Both CBD and THC can be microdosed, although many CBD users do not know how to microdose CBD.

What is micro-dosing?

Microdosing weed is the consumption of small doses of marijuana to ensure the potency of the weed. People who consume weed in small amounts can benefit from THC therapeutic effects without getting high.

THC and micro-dosing

Michelle Ross, the founder of IMPACT network, says that microdosing is different for each individual. She also states that most people are not aware of microdosing. IMPACT network is a non-profit organization that utilizes experimental medical research to find cannabis treatment for some types of diseases. Consuming cannabis at high dosage is not in the best interest of a patient; microdosing allows a patient to track their progress easier. Furthermore, many experts are convinced that lower doses of THC allow a person to get more medical benefits of THC.

Dustin Sulak also believes that an increase in the dose may cause the benefits to be diminished as well as the opposite reaction may occur. For instance, a small amount of cannabis can help to treat anxiety, but a high dose of weed can cause anxiety.

Conditions such as depression, anxiety, and pain are being treated with microdosing. There is a lack of conclusive and comprehensive empirical research, but there is clinical research that supports the fact that less cannabis could equal more medicinal benefits.

For example, based on the findings of a 2012 study, cancer patients in the advanced stage had a reduction in pain after taking small doses of cannabis than those who took higher doses. Those who took higher doses experienced an increase in their pain.

CBD and microdosing

Microdosing CBD is becoming quite popular among consumers. A small amount of CBD will provide you with the necessary benefits you want.  CBD, THC and other cannabinoids are measured in milligrams. The amount of CBD and the method of consumption will determine the level of concentration. However, the measuring of CBD is difficult, and consumers are dependent on the measurement placed on CBD products by the manufacturers. It has already been stated that consuming low doses causes an increase in the benefits, but high doses of CBD like THC can have potential dangers for one’s health.

When consuming CBD, you should start with a small dose at first. You can take 5 milligrams of CBD and then consume more if it is necessary. If you are consuming edibles, it is best to eat a small amount, especially if you are a first-time user of cannabis.

Benefits of micro-dosing

There are many benefits of using CBD micro-dosing. Micro-dosing can help to treat ailments better. Considering that CBD is non-psychoactive, it will not get you high like THC, but too much can cause drowsiness and other side effects. Also, microdosing will help you to save money because you will not need to use all your CBD products at once. This will prevent wastage.

CBD side effects

Though you will not get high from using CBD, you may have other side effects. If you consume more CBD than is required, then you may feel dizzy, drowsy and your mouth might get dry. Microdosing is the safest way to consume CBD and THC.
