The marijuana plant is an incredible species that produces a wide variety of useful elements, many of which we are still learning about today. However, there is more than enough evidence to show that both hemp and cannabis seeds can be beneficial to your health. So, while they might not be the best options for recreational consumers who are seeking an alternative to smoking, they could be perfect for anyone who could use a bit of help with improving their daily diet.

1. They taste great
If you have ever had the opportunity to dapple in marijuana edibles, then you are likely familiar with the earthy and distinctive taste that is often part of the experience. For many, the idea of eating marijuana plant products is unappealing, but cannabis seeds are entirely different than the buds and leaves that are processed into cannabutter or oil. Most people who try them say that they taste just like sunflower seeds once they have been hulled.

2. Rich in Omega fatty acids
Most enthusiasts that enjoy the benefits of the marijuana plant, do so recreationally, but both cannabis seeds and raw buds contain Omega 3 and Omega 6 acids in such high concentrations that the juices are comparable to fish oil. Both of these acids are an essential part of a healthy diet as they are good fats that are full of nutrients.

3. They won't get you high
Many parts of the marijuana plant hold the potential to get you high, but that is due to a high concentration of the psychoactive cannabinoid THC. Cannabis seeds contain, at most, trace amounts of the mind-altering cannabinoid, so you don’t have to worry about feeling groggy, inebriated or impaired in any way, no matter how many you ingest.

4. Manage weight
Whether you are struggling to keep weight off, or looking to put some extra on, marijuana seeds can be a helpful tool. A small amount can make you feel full for a very long time, and a larger portion of cannabis seeds will add a massive boost of protein that is excellent for muscle building and energy levels. They also work as an excellent meat alternative for those who require a replacement in their diet.

5. Helpful in managing the symptoms of depression, anxiety and PMS
At the first look at these elegant little seeds, it might be hard to believe that they could be helpful for much more than growing a marijuana plant, but there are some pretty powerful components to this portion of the pot plant. The trace levels of cannabinoids like THC and CBD are just enough to effectively soothe symptoms of anxiety and depression, and the lesser-known Gamma-linolenic acid works as a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, which is perfect for treating painful cramps and bloating from PMS.

How to eat cannabis seeds

It can be useful to view marijuana seeds the same way that you would sunflower seeds, as they both require the same level of process to ingest. You can either juice the cannabis seeds or bake them and remove the shells before enjoying a crunchy snack.
