Does cooking steak in the oven make it tough?
Using the oven instead of an open grill can lead t dryness if you run a temperature too high to speed up the process, which is a common mistake that has led many to believe that cooking steak in the oven will leave you with dry pieces of meat. The key to a juicy steak that is oven-baked is in the protective coating that is used to prepare the steaks, and with this steak recipe, we use cannabis oil to hold in the moisture and shorter cooking time to reduce the risk of a tough cut of meat.

- 1 can of mushrooms
- 4 of your favourite steaks (sirloin is most recommended)
- ¾ cup cannabis oil (preferably olive)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Baking dish
Pull out the cannabis oil and the steaks and give them approximately 30 minutes to warm up to room temperature before moving on to step 2.
Preheat the oven to 450°F, and while you wait, place the saucepan on a high heat burner until it’s hot.
Add the cannabis oil to the saucepan, then sear the steaks for 2 minutes per side, or until they have a nice golden-brown coating, then transfer them from the pan to the baking dish.
Dump the can of mushrooms around the steaks and use the remaining cannabis oil from the pan to drizzle over the meat and veggie mix.
Season the steaks with a generous amount of salt and pepper.
Once the oven has reached 450°F, bake the steak and mushrooms in the oven for 12 minutes, flipping them when they are halfway done cooking to avoid scalding.
Pull the steaks from the oven and serve them while piping hot with a slab of butter or a hearty helping of gravy for a delicious main course.
