This pizza casserole is thick, cheesy, salty, and absolutely packed with pepperonis, but instead of a traditional crust, its base is more comparable with garlic bread which always pairs nicely with the smokey flavours of the meat.   • 24 ounces of marinara sauce
  • 10 ounces mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 8 ounces pepperoni slices
  • 8 frozen slices of garlic bread
  • 1-ounce parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 2 tablespoons cannabis-infused olive oil
  • Cooking spray


  • Large skillet
  • Mixing spoon
  • 13x9 inch casserole dish


  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F and move the rack to the middle position.

  2. Add the oil, marinara sauce, and half of the pepperonis to a large skillet, and cook these ingredients over high heat for approximately 5 minutes.

  3. Arrange the garlic bread slices in the casserole dish so that they cover the entire bottom of the pan.

  4. Pour the marinara sauce mixture evenly over top of the garlic bread slices.

  5. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the sauce.

  6. Spread the remaining pepperoni slices over the mozzarella cheese.

  7. Spread the parmesan cheese over the casserole then bake it in a preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.

Once the pizza casserole is done cooking, leave it to sit on a wire rack to cool for 5 minutes prior to serving.

Storage tips and tricks

This casserole recipe like most is perfect for making and freezing, so you’ve got ready-made dinners when you don’t have the time to prepare something from scratch. Leftovers may also be frozen in airtight containers or kept in the fridge where they will stay fresh for up to 3 days.
