Marijuana infused olive oil recipe
This recipe will make 2 cups of cannabis infused oil that can be used in many different cooking methods to create edibles of your own. Just remember, this is not a high heat cooking oil and should only be cooked with at low temperatures. The easiest cooking tool for the best results is a slow cooker, but this method can also be performed with a double-boiler if you don’t have one on hand.
Ingredients
- 2 cups of marijuana
- 2 cups of olive oil
Tools
- 1 grinder
- 1 slow cooker
- 1 layer of cheesecloth
- 1 resealable mason jar
- 1 spouted measuring cup
- 1 elastic
Instructions
- Grind up the marijuana using scissors or a grinder.
- Add the oil and the bud grind to a slow cooker and set it to low.
- Allow the mixture to infuse and the cannabis to decarboxylate for 5 hours. If you notice any kind of burning at any point a small amount of water can be added to curb the problem.
- Once the extraction has occurred, it is time to remove any excess plant material from the oil. Pour the liquid into a spouted measuring cup to make it easier to pour through a filter.
- Cover the top of a mason jar with cheesecloth and fasten it in place with an elastic.
- Slowly pour the oil into the mason jar through the cheesecloth.
- Once all the liquid has been run through the filter, you can remove and dispose of it.
- Now your freshly made marijuana-infused oil is ready to use or store.
