Chocolate and cannabis what a perfect match, add some milk and a few other items and you have a delicious mind- altering cup of hot chocolate.

Here is a list of the few things that you will need to enjoy this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup of milk
  • 1 Teaspoon of cannabutter
  • 1 Cup of Water
  • Your favorite hot chocolate mix
  • 2 grams of your favorite weed
  • Coffee filter

How to make hot chocolate with weed

Step 1 - Grind your herb nice and fine, add this to the water with the canna-butter and milk.
Step 2 – Adding the butter is a very important step. THC is water soluble it needs fat to bind to. If you forget to add the butter, you will not get the high you are looking for.
Step 3 - Try to keep the water at a low boil the minimal you can get. We want our chocolate to be hot, the problem with having the chocolate too hot is that high temp is not good for THC extraction.
Step 4 - Let the mixture heat for about 15 minutes. You should start to smell a wonderful almond-like aroma.
Step 5 - Look for your favorite mug and add the hot chocolate mix. Now put the coffee filter over the top of the mug, pour your liquid into the cup and strain into the mug.
Step 6 - For a little extra zest give the coffee filter a squeeze to get all the liquid into your mug. Give this beautiful cup of hot chocolate a stir and enjoy the fruits of your labor.

Chocolate strains of cannabis

If we are making a weed hot chocolate drink, it makes sense to use a chocolate strain of herb. I can introduce you to a few good strains perfect for weed hot cocoa.

Chocolate Haze will leave you with a sweet, happy uplifting feeling. Your high should last about an hour and a half. This is a good strain to add to your chocolate if you suffer from depression or need to reduce the pain in your joints from arthritis.

Genetica

Chocolate Kush, a sativa dominant, when used in making your weed hot chocolate will produce feelings of relaxation give you a euphoric creative, uplifting feeling. If you need muscle pain relief or some help to relieve anxiety this strain works well.

If cannabis chocolate milk is your favorite drink and you have some hash around the house, you are in business. Heat the milk try to use whole milk. Using about a gram or gram and a half of hash dissolve the hash in a small amount of oil, I say coconut oil would be great. When dissolved add it to the milk, heat on low for about 10 minutes add your organic chocolate squares to the mix. Pour into your favorite mug and grab a cookie turn on the winter movie and enjoy.

Cannabis infused drinks

Many big drink companies are eyeing the cannabis-infused drink arena. Coca-cola seems interested in CBD infused drinks. Some beverage companies will be producing non psychoactive drinks. There will be no THC in these drinks. They will be used as medicinal beverages containing CBD.

Let's look at the cannabis-infused beer industry. It is ready to explode wide open here in Canada. Some of the beer companies are looking at THC, CBD or combination infused drinks.

If you live in Canada where cannabis is legal in some forms, the horizon looks promising for many different kinds of infused drinks to be on the shelves soon.

Pass me the cannabis-infused cold beer, please.
