Materials you will need

• 1 pineapple (any size)
• 1 large sharp knife
• 1 narrow, sharp knife
• 1 arm’s length of rubber tubing (amount needed will vary depending on the size of the pineapple)
• 1 spoon

Instructions

1. To begin, you will need to make an even slice and remove the top portion of the pineapple approximately two or three inches below the leaves.

2. Set the pineapple top aside and use a large knife to make a criss-cross incision into the fruit center, and around the edges of the fruit casing. This will make it easier to remove the fresh pineapple with minimal effort.

3. Use a spoon to scoop out the middle of the pineapple. It doesn’t have to be perfectly clean but should be cleared enough to hold at least a cup water.

4. Once the chamber is large enough, rinse out the pineapple with water to remove any loose debris.

5. Now use a sharp and narrow knife to pierce a hole into the side of the pineapple, right in the middle that the tubing will fit into snugly. This opening will act as the escape for the smoke to travel through the water.

6. Cut a portion of rubber tubing that is long enough to comfortably draw from, while also able to reach the bottom of the pineapple once it’s fed through your freshly drilled hole.

7. Set the pineapple base aside and turn your attention to the lid. It’s time to drill one hole into one side of the cap that is wide enough for the second piece of tube to fit snugly into.

8. Feed the tube into the hole. This one should be long enough to dangle into the pineapple chamber, but not touch the bottom. It should also be long enough outside of the bong lid that you can comfortably draw on it.

9. Close the top of your freshly made bubbler bong and check the draw by sucking on the lower tube. If it’s challenging to draw from, you might need to widen the holes, so they aren’t collapsing the rubber.
