Looking for a unique, delicious, and healthy dairy-free alternative for your corn puffs in the morning? Perhaps you have just come in search of the astounding benefits that hemp milk can offer over other alternatives. Either way, you have come to the right place.

Hemp milk can be made in several different ways, but here we will show you how to make it using hemp oil as well as with dry hemp seeds. If it’s a THC filled option that you seek, then you can’t use the same recipes listed here by swapping out the hemp plant materials and using marijuana plant leaf trimming or colas instead. This is because you will need to heat either the mixture of the plant material to release the active cannabinoid which is not an included step here. This hemp milk recipe will not get you high as it’s made using a hemp species which do not produce high levels of THC and what they do contain is never activated during the process. Instead, it is used for its medicinal qualities and health benefits.

This is a more traditional method of making hemp milk using the seeds that are harvested from a hemp plant. It’s not much more difficult than the first option, but it does require a blender.

  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • ½ teaspoon of vanilla

Tools

  • 1 whisk
  • 1 jug
  • 1 blender
  • 1 fine mesh strainer

Instructions

  1. Add all the ingredients into a blender or food processor.
  2. Blend the liquid on high for 1 minute.
  3. Pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer to filter out the small pieces that may be left behind. (Or don’t but it can get a little gritty.)
  4. Allow the freshly made hemp milk time to chill (approximately 1 hour) before serving.

How to use hemp milk

The wonderful thing about hemp milk is that it is healthy and delicious and there is no limit to the amount you can drink in any one day. Hemp milk can be used in most recipes for baking, cereal, drinks, ice cream, sauces, and even as a refreshing cold drink as a replacement for your usual milk. If you want to switch up the flavor, try different berry blends and other flavorings like mint extract for a different treat every time.

Benefits of using hemp milk

Hemp milk contains on average three times more calcium than your average cup of white milk. It is also an excellent source for protein, omega 3, and 6 other essential fatty acids. Drinking hemp milk promotes brain health, heart strength, and acts as an anti-inflammatory keeping those small aches and pains at bay on a daily basis.
