If you’re in the mood for something light, healthy and filling, then this easy rice and hamburger combo could be the perfect solution. It’s fast, simple, and technically it can be made using any creamed soup you like, so feel free to make some adjustments to personalize the results.

Rice, vegetables, beef, creamed soup, and a nice-sized scoop of cannabutter are all you really need to make this amazing recipe. Spice it up with your favourite herbs or keep things simple with a dash of salt and pepper instead. There’s no wrong way to make this rice-based version of goulash.

Whether you’ve got some cannabis oil or a bowl of fresh cannabutter, this magical infused dish is absolutely amazing, and it’ll take you places no other rice meal can. With a high dose of cannabinoids, you’ll feel both full and lifted, and thanks to how strong it is, this rice recipe can be served as either a side or a main.

Ingredients

  • 1 cooking onion (chopped)
  • 2 pounds of ground beef
  • 2 cans of cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can of corn
  • 1 can of peas
  • 4 cups of water
  • 4 cups 5-minute rice
  • 1 heaping tablespoon cannabutter (or cannabis infused oil)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Tools

  • Large pot (with lid)
  • Mixing spoon
  • Saucepan
  • Strainer

Instructions

  1. Bring 4 cups of water in a large pot to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.

  • Add the rice, cover with a lid and allow to cook. After 5 minutes, remove it from the burner. Add the tablespoon of cannabutter or oil to the rice, mix it in, and then leave the pot to sit covered for now.

  • In a large saucepan, brown the ground beef, which should take anywhere from 15-20 minutes.

  • Strain any excess fats from the beef, then dump it in with the cooked rice.

  • Sauté the chopped onion for 3-5 minutes or until soft and opaque.

  • Toss the onion pieces in with the rice and meat and stir.

  • Next up is the cream of chicken soup. It is important to note that this isn’t regular chicken soup with semi-clear broth. The liquid in the can should be a white or yellow colour if it’s the right type.

  • Add a dash of salt and pepper to taste, then give the mixture all a good stir.

  • Serve this dish while piping hot and fresh for the best flavour.

    Storage tips and tricks

    Everything rice is always best fresh and it’s really easy to make up a new batch when you need it, but there are bound to be some leftovers and that’s when it pays to know how to store it well. You’ll need an airtight container where the rice will stay fresh for up to 4 whole days.
