Delicious homemade cannabis-infused chicken fingers

Sometimes, it’s the simpler things in life that we crave, but if you’re going to indulge in some good old-fashioned chicken fingers, it’s best if you start from scratch. This chicken fingers recipe is made using fresh breaded meat, so it’s a dish you can feel good about eating. Plus, it takes the term stoner food to a whole new level by adding just the right number of cannabinoids needed to leave you feeling relaxed and sedated.

Can cannabis-infused chicken fingers be frozen?

We typically reach for frozen chicken fingers as a fast solution to a day that’s gone on way too long because they’re always ready to be popped directly into the oven. Which means that you don’t have to put any time or energy into making them. Though this breaded chicken recipe does take some elbow grease to prepare, it is perfect for freezing, so that you have a bag ready to bake when you need it.

To make these chicken fingers, you’ll need fresh chicken breasts that are completely defrosted for easy slicing. The good news is that it doesn’t require any fancy cannabis cooking oils or cannabutter to complete. A small amount of decarboxylated herb and a few wholesome ingredients is all that it takes to bring these delicious chicken bites to life.

  • 2 lbs chicken breasts
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 cups panko crumbs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon lemon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 grams cured cannabis flower
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne


  • Grinder
  • Non-stick baking sheets
  • Parchment paper
  • Sharp knife
  • Whisk
  • Mixing bowls
  • Spatula


  1. Preheat the oven to 240 F, prepare the baking sheet with a liner of parchment paper.

  2. Grind the cannabis buds into a fine grind that isn’t quite a powder. Then sprinkle it across the prepared baking sheet.

  3. Bake the grind in the oven for 2 hours to decarboxylate, removing the tray to stir everything every 30 minutes.

  4. Once the herb is activated, it can be pulled from the oven and set aside while you prepare the rest of the ingredients.

  5. Preheat the oven to 425 F.

  • Cut all of the chicken breasts into thin, even strips.

  • Add the eggs to a bowl, whisk them into a foamy texture.

  • Now pour the flour, spices, decarboxylated weed, and panko crumbs into another bowl.

  • Sift the dry ingredients together until they are evenly combined.

  • Get a clean baking sheet ready, line up the bowls of ingredients beside it.

  • Dip each slice of chicken into the eggs, and then coat it in the flour
    combination before resting it on the baking pan.

  • Repeat the process until all of the chicken fingers are coated and ready to

  • Bake the chicken fingers in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown on the outside, removing halfway through to flip.
