CBD bath bombs do not provide the same effects of marijuana, so it is important to note that if you have an interest in this type of therapy, it probably shouldn’t be for purely recreational reasons. CBD products are ingested in different ways to treat many common problems and can also be used as a preventative measure for specific conditions. However, CBD bath bombs are a purely topical product that is not meant to be eaten or smoked. Instead, they utilize the benefits of heat as well as the natural elements to provide soothing relief. Want to know more? Well, we’ve got you covered with this guide to CBD bath bombs that includes a super simple CBD bath bombs recipe, to make your own at home.

What is CBD?

CBD (cannabidiol) is just one element that is commonly known to be naturally produced by cannabis plants. However, this cannabinoid is found in much higher concentrations amongst strains of hemp. Cannabidiol is not a drug and is typically used for medicinal purposes as a preventative, or therapeutic treatment.

What are CBD bath bombs?

CBD bath bombs are a simple concoction that is generally made using a combination of CBD oil, Epsom salts and other naturally produced oils and ingredients that can offer additional medicinal qualities. They are typically made at least 48 hours in advance and added to a regular warm bath. As the CBD bath bombs slowly dissolve, they deliver a direct and potent application of cannabidiol and other elements to the bathwater, which is partially absorbed by the skin. However, when it comes to the topical use of cannabinoids, you will notice that the strength is much higher than most concentrates that are made for other methods of ingestion. This is because we absorb cannabidiol at a much slower pace through the skin, so you will need a lot more CBD in a bath bomb than you would in an oil that is taken orally for relief.
