Cannabis-infused chicken fried rice

When the mood for Chinese food strikes, there is nothing that can hit the craving until you cave and either order or make something great. There are hundreds of incredible fried rice dishes out there, but chicken fried rice remains one of the most popular, and it’s also one of the easiest to make, which is a perfect bonus if you want to combine your craving for some delicious food with your love of weed by turning a regular old recipe into edibles.

Chicken fried rice recipe

This fried rice recipe tastes just like takeout, and it comes with a light dose of cannabinoids that is just enough to give everyone who enjoys some, a light glow that will last for a few hours, at least. It also comes with a slight kick of spice without getting too hot on the tongue. The best part about this one is that you don’t even have to know how to cook rice the long way to get it done, as instant rice will work perfectly for this recipe, which helps to keep things simple.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups of cooked white rice
  • ¼ pound of chicken breast strips
  • ½ of a sweet cooking onion (diced)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 3 tablespoons cannabis-infused olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons diced green onions
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • Large skillet with a lid
  • Mixing bowl
  • Plate

Instructions

  1. Place a large skillet onto a burner that is set to medium heat and add one tablespoon of cannabis-infused olive oil, as it warms up.

  2. Cut the chicken strips into bite-sized cubes or smaller flakes, whichever suits your preference, and then dump them into a mixing bowl.

  3. Sprinkle the salt, pepper, and ginger over the chicken bits and toss them gently.

  4. Cook the chicken pieces stirring them frequently in the saucepan of oil for approximately 7 minutes or until brown.

  5. Retrieve the chicken from the hot oil and let it sit on a plate for now.

  6. Add another tablespoon of cannabis-infused olive oil to the saucepan, then toss in the carrots and peas, diced onion, and garlic.

  7. Cook the vegetables until the onions are soft and translucent, which should take around 7 minutes.

  8. Remove the vegetables from the saucepan and set them aside along with the chicken bits from earlier.

  9. Drizzle the last tablespoon of cannabis-infused olive oil into the saucepan along with the rice.

  10. Stir the rice until the oil seems to be evenly distributed, and then cook it over medium heat for 5 minutes to warm it up.

  11. Make a clear space in the center of the saucepan and then add both eggs.

  12. Top the hole filled with eggs with a drizzle of soy sauce, and then scramble the eggs and the rice until they are fully cooked, which should take about 5 minutes.

  13. Once the eggs have cooked, add the tray of veggies and rice from earlier and stir all of the ingredients together for a delicious chicken fried rice dish. All it needs is another 5 minutes of cooking over medium heat, and it’ll be ready to serve and enjoy.

This chicken fried rice makes a great side, but it’s also a delicious meal all on its own, so you can have it any way you want it, from scratch in the comfort of your own home.
