Of course, with most popular cannabis-infused foods, baking is required, but you might be surprised to learn just how easy it is to turn a regular BBQ chicken leg into an elevated success by adding special ingredients to the sauce. That’s right! No soaking or any other adjustments are needed, and in mere seconds you can make this magic happen with little to no effort at all.

This cannabis-infused BBQ recipe is perfect for backyard parties, poolside gatherings, and bigger, more elegant events like reunions or weddings, and it’s also just a really simple dinner to make when you’re hungry and aiming to keep most of the heat outdoors. Cook them on the BBQ or over the fire pit for a crispy, saucy, cannabinoid-laden delight that’s ready in a matter of minutes.   • 4 pounds of chicken legs
  • 2 cups cannabis-infused barbeque sauce (scroll down for recipe)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Hungarian paprika
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt


  • Small mixing bowl
  • Whisk
  • Baking tray
  • Tongs
  • Sauce brush
  • Serving tray


  1. Spread the chicken legs out across a baking tray and set them aside for now.

  2. Combine all of the remaining dry ingredients in a mixing bowl with a whisk to create a perfect rub.

  3. Sprinkle the rub all over the chicken legs, and then use clean hands to rub the flavour into each piece.

  4. Once the rub is on, fire up the BBQ at a medium-low setting and give it a few minutes to preheat at 450°F.

  5. When the barbeque is finished preheating, transfer the dry-rubbed legs to the grill, and spread them out for even heat distribution.

  6. Barbeque the chicken legs for 15-20 minutes, turning and applying layers of the thick sauce in between each flip.

  7. Once the chicken legs are crispy, transfer them to a clean serving tray, then place them on the table or counter so that everyone can dig in!

  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup cannabis-infused oil
  • 5 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 5 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon strawberry jam
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tablespoon fresh black pepper
  • ½ tablespoon ground mustard
  • ½ tablespoon onion powder


  • Large mixing bowl
  • Whisk
  • Large mason jar with lid (or another condiment dispenser)


  1. Add all of the dry ingredients to the mixing bowl and stir them with a whisk to combine.

  2. Next, add each of the liquid ingredients starting with the oil and ending with the Worcestershire sauce, whisking it all together until you get rid of all the lumps.

  3. Transfer the sauce into a container and store it in the fridge until you’re ready to use it. There it will stay fresh for up to 5 days as long as it stays chilled and isn’t left out for too long at room temperature.
