An easy quiche recipe with cannabutter

- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 6 eggs
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheese
- 1 cup cooked ham (cubed)
- ½ cup sweet peppers
- ¾ cup milk
- 1 teaspoon cannabutter
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons green onion (diced)
- 1 teaspoon cooking oil
- Pie pan
- Mixing bowl
- Microwave safe dish
- Sauce brush
Start by preheating the oven to 375°F.
While you wait for the stove to heat up, prepare the pie shells by unrolling the dough and carefully pressing it into a large pie pan.
Make sure to trim away any excess that might burn from hanging over the edges, then crimp the edges of the dough using a fork.
Next, warm up the cannabutter just enough to liquefy it, which can be done in the microwave in 30-second intervals. Avoid leaving it in there too long, as too much heat will destroy the potent cannabinoids that are held within the cannabutter.
Once the cannabutter turns into a liquid, it’s easy to use a sauce, brush to apply an even and thick layer on the inside of the pie crust. Stay away from the crimped edges to avoid scalding and ensure to use it all up.
Now toss some chopped sweet bell peppers into a large saucepan with cooking oil and allow the veggies to sauté until soft which should take approximately 3-5 minutes.
Add the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and cooked pepper pieces to a large mixing bowl, then whisk everything together until it reaches a smooth and creamy color and consistency.
Spread the ham cubed and all but ¼ cup of the shredded cheese over the bottom of the pie pan, and then cover it with the liquid ingredients that you’ve just prepared.
Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese over top of the quiche, then pop it in the oven to bake for approximately 35 minutes.
Allow the quiche at least 10 minutes to cool before serving. This will give it time to set and result in much less of a mess as you slice it up to serve slices.
This quiche recipe results in a thick and hearty breakfast dish that is gently infused with cannabis, and though it is always best served warm and fresh right from the oven, you can also freeze it for long term storage and for a quick and easy microwavable meal when you need it the most. Just be sure to use sealable containers such as Tupperware of freezer-proof baggies, and this quiche will stay fresh for up to 5 days in the fridge or 2 weeks in the freezer.
