A triple-layered grilled cheese recipe with cannabutter

If you love regular old-fashioned grilled cheese and you have a fondness for cannabis, then this combination is going to be perfect. You haven't truly experienced all of the incredible things that a good grilled cheese recipe has to offer until you’ve tried this one. This triple-decker grilled cheese recipe isn’t for the faint of heart, as it takes piles of cheese and a hearty dose of cannabutter to complete, but if you’re looking for a special edible treat that’s super easy to make, and fancy enough to turn heads, then you’ve come to the right place.

Grilled cheese recipe

This grilled cheese recipe can be turned into a super potent edible for the most experienced stoners with the addition of some cannabis-infused cheese, but if you enjoy a light buzz, and doing less work, then any kind of your favourite cheese will work, so go wild, and mix things up a bit. Use 1, 2, or even 3 different types of cheese for a uniquely different experience every single time you make one.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon cannabutter
  • 2 bread slices
  • ¼ cup grated cheese
  • Cheese slices (enough to fill between the bread pieces)

  • Saucepan
  • Spatula

Instructions

  1. To start, you’ll need a hot pan, so set the burner to medium heat and wait a few moments for the saucepan to be heated before proceeding.

  2. Next, drop approximately ¼ of a tablespoon of cannabutter into the saucepan.

  3. Once the cannabutter melts, use to butter both pieces of bread (each with ¼ tablespoon of cannabutter) and place one slice in the saucepan and cover it with cheese just as you would when making a normal grilled cheese sandwich then top with the other slice.

  4. fry the grilled cheese sandwich until the bread is golden brown, which should take between 3-5 minutes per side.

  5. Once both sides are browned, flip the grilled cheese to expose the hottest part of the sandwich and then scatter half of the grated cheese on top of the bread.

  6. Now is a good time to toss the remaining cannabutter into the pan to keep things from sticking, and then flip the grilled cheese sandwich covered in cheese into the freshly melted cannabutter.

  7. Sprinkle the remaining cheese across the bread once more and give the bottom layer 1 to 2 minutes to brown before flipping the whole sandwich, to fry the other side.

  8. The remaining side will take an additional 3 minutes to brown, and once it has, it is ready to serve and enjoy.
