Ingredients
- 1-pound ground beef (extra lean is preferred)
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 egg
- 2 diced garlic cloves
- ½ diced cooking onion
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons cannabutter
- 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Tools
- Saucepan
- Cooking spoon
- Large mixing bowl
- Whisk
- Tablespoon
Instructions
-
Using a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic, onion, egg, ½ teaspoon of pepper, breadcrumbs, and parsley. Ensure that everything is thoroughly blended using your hands, as tools will be still and difficult to stir with.
-
Use a tablespoon to shape small one-inch balls out of the ground beef mixture and drop them one by one into the saucepan until finished.
-
Turn the burner up to high heat and drizzle the olive oil over the balls.
-
Once you hear the oil begin to simmer, allow the meatballs to cook for 10 minutes. Make sure to roll them around in the pan as they brown, to allow for an even distribution of heat, and to avoid burnt spots.
-
After your meatballs have cooked, turn the burner down to medium heat, and remove them from the pan. It’s best to do this in a bowl or on a plate coated with a paper towel to soak up the grease.
Add the cannabutter to the saucepan, and when the butter has melted, sprinkle the flour in and whisk the mixture together until it’s all been used.
Slowly pour in the beef broth and continue whisking the ingredients together until they thicken.
Now, add in all the remaining ingredients and switch over to a spoon for mixing everything together.
Once all the ingredients for the sauce have been thoroughly combined, you should be left with a rich, velvety sauce, and this is the perfect time to toss the meatballs back in to warm up.
Leave the meatballs in the sauce over medium heat for approximately 5 minutes before serving over one of the base options listed below, or alone for a hearty meal.
