A homemade cranberry sauce recipe with cannabis
Most people either love it or they hate it, but few will deny that cranberry sauce holds a place on most tables at Christmas. With the hustle and bustle of the holiday, it isn’t uncommon to settle for a canned option that provides both flavor and convenience at an affordable price, but that store-bought stuff doesn’t taste anything like good old fashion cranberry sauce made from scratch using high-quality ingredients.
Though most dishes with a similar consistency like jam, can take hours to cook to perfection, this cranberry sauce recipe is surprisingly easy to make and doesn’t require expert skills in the kitchen. The whole thing from start to finish takes less than 30 minutes, and you just can’t beat the intoxicating results, but those aren’t even the best things about this cranberry sauce recipe.
It’s also easy to make for larger gatherings since it’s meant to be enjoyed in smaller portions, and it holds up long enough to make the side dish up to three days ahead of any big event, giving you plenty of time to find a half an hour to try this edibles recipe. Just don’t forget to warn your guests of the presence of cannabis, and to ensure that everyone partaking does so responsibly so that everyone has the chance to make good memories this Christmas.
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 25 minutes

Rinse the fresh cranberries through a strainer under cool water and remove any visible stems or bad spots.
Pour half of the cranberries into a mixing bowl then set them aside for the moment.
Place a saucepan on a burner that is set to low heat, and add in the remaining cranberries, brown sugar, orange juice, lemon zest, salt and pepper.
Stir the mixture frequently while you cook it over low heat for 10 minutes.
Now crank up the heat to medium and cook the cranberries for an additional 10 minutes or until they all burst.
Toss in the cranberries that are still sitting in the bowl and reduce the heat to low.
Now add the cannabis-infused cooking oil to the cranberry sauce and cook it all together for 5 more minutes before removing the saucepan from the heat.
This cranberry sauce recipe is delicious hot or cold and is perfect for enjoying on its own, or as an intoxicating side dish for a more traditional Christmas feast.
How to store your homemade cranberry sauce
This cranberry sauce recipe is absolutely delicious, but it is preservative-free, which means that the goodness of this edibles dish has a fast expiry and will only stay good for a few days even when kept in the best conditions. That is why it is important to store this cranberry sauce in sealable containers and in the refrigerator, which will also help to protect the cannabinoids like THC and CBD.
