Women in weed in 2020

On March 8th, 2020, we saw women in cannabis celebrate the cultural, social, economic, and political achievements of all women throughout the world. Success for women in cannabis is not only quantified by monetary means, as true success can be measured in humility and kindness. Some of the ladies who belong on a list which portrays the outstanding women in cannabis are:

1. Marie Montmarquet

  • Some of Marie's claims to fame include being a passionate legacy operator for over 13 years.

Her higher learning background includes a B.A. in Political Science and Psychology. Marie has created with the assistance of her brother numerous vertically integrated cannabis businesses. Marie Montmarquet also has business interests in one of the most extensive delivery services in the San Francisco area.

Her enthusiasm extends into Salinas with a large-scale cultivation nursery processing and distribution facility. One of her main goals has her focusing on being an advocate for social equality and social justice within the green cannabis space. 2. Dr. Leslie Apgar

Dr. Apgar is a board-certified OBGYN and has 17 years, experience with direct patient care skills. Her experience as medical director of Greenhouse Wellness and co-founder of a female-focused cannabis line named Blissiva. A cosmetic spa and laser center, Pura Vida, has been in operation for 12 years is also attributed to Dr. Leslie Apgar.

3. Michelle Hackett

As president of Riverview Farms, which is a three-generational agricultural cannabis business, Michelle comes to the forefront of women in cannabis. Educationally Michelle has a bachelor's degree in Business and many years, experience in Sales and Marketing specific for agriculture. 4. Trang Trinh

Ms. Trang's space in the women’s cannabis space is well earned. Her educational background in strategy and operational leadership comes with ten years, experience.  She holds a BSc in Health Sciences and is an Ivey Business School at Western University graduate. Trang hopes to keep delivering her visions of mentorship and kindness in her role as leader of TREC Brands.
