Hempfest Calgary returns to in-person format for 2021
This past year has been a long one as COVID-19 put a stop to so many long-anticipated, in-person cannabis events, but we’re here to tell you that there’s hope! Hempfest Calgary has a set date, and organizers are working on a lineup of exciting exhibitors for interested participants to take in, so if all goes according to plan, we’ll see you there live and, in the flesh, this coming September.
What is Hempfest?
Hempfest Cannabis Expo offers a wide variety of topics for both consumers and industry professionals who are looking to expand on what they know, share ideas, network, and more with other like-minded individuals, companies, and experts, many of whom are paving the way towards a future that is better and brighter with cannabis in it. Whether you want to see what hot new products are about to launch or you’ve got new and exciting ideas that you want to share with the world, all that and more can happen right here.
When and where
Hempfest Calgary is a 2-day event that’s set to take place from September 10th to the 11th at Canada Olympic Park Winsport Venue in SW Calgary with 30% indoors and 70% outdoors. The large outdoor area and a festival tent will provide a unique feel while leaving plenty of room for social distancing protocols, should they be needed at that time.
Hempfest tickets are very affordable, costing just $15.00 to $20.00 each, with times that vary depending on the day you’d like to partake.
Friday: 12pm to 4pm or 4pm to 8pm
Saturday: 12pm to 4pm or 4pm to 7pm
Hempfest Cannabis Cup Pass: 7pm to 9pm

What to expect this year
There are so many new and exciting changes to look forward to alongside some of the familiar staples that consumers and participants have come to expect from Hempfest.
This year, for the first time ever, Hempfest Calgary has been permitted to allow cannabis use on the grounds of the outdoor portion of the venue, which means that participants will finally be able to indulge without having to leave the expo.
Live and local entertainment presented on an outdoor stage
A wide range of exhibitors, presenters, and speakers from all areas of the industry
The same familiar grassroots cannabis culture feeling that all past attendees have come to know and love
The Hempfest Cup
What you need to know about the Hempfest Cup
The Hempfest Cup will take place at the same time as Hempfest Calgary, but it is a separate event that requires its own tickets and registration to take part. For $89.99 (a $150.00 value), both private and professional growers can have a cannabis sample tested by Keystone Labs for things like terpenes and cannabinoids, so if you really want to know what’s in your weed, this is a great place to start!

We are all eagerly anticipating some sense of normalcy, a simple thing that so many of us could obtain by visiting one of the biggest and best cannabis events in person, and Hempfest Calgary organizers are working as hard as they can to ensure that it happens, but in the event that COVID-19 gets in the way of current plans, ticketholders can rest easy knowing that they will make whatever changes necessary to assure the expo's success, even if that means going virtual for one more year.
