If you haven’t heard of the new Meta (also known as Facebook), then it’s time to buckle up because you’re in for a huge surprise. This brand new world will allow people from all over the planet to build an accessible digital life, and it’s likely to mimic the real one, only better. Here, anything is possible, and dreams can come true.

Though it’s still very much in development, so much of what you read today is based on pure speculation. The reality is that cannabis will play an important role in the Metaverse, and these are just some of the things that are pretty much guaranteed to happen.

1. Dispensaries

Could you imagine getting the full dispensary experience without ever having to leave the comfort of your home? This is it folks, and it’s likely to be a huge benefit, especially as the global industry opens up. In the virtual world, you’ll find complete cannabis retail venues that offer full service including delivery. It truly can’t get much better than this!

2. CBD stores

CBD stores are likely to be plentiful long before functional dispensaries hit the scene only because of the legal status of this non-psychoactive cannabinoid. Since it can be legally shipped and sold over great distances, there’s going to be no better way to reach faraway consumers than through the Metaverse.

3. Weed décor

Think The Sims on steroids, where you’ll actually be able to walk through your virtual home and decorate it in any way that you choose. Cannabis could fit in such places here, in photo frames, on televisions, painted on walls, and in the form of cute little pot leaf centerpieces. The options are limitless and likely to include cannabis-inspired works of art.

4. Cultivation

Can’t grow your own plants in the real world? No problem! Refine those skills in VR in the metaverse, where mistakes are easily corrected, and lessons can be learned that are interchangeable with real life. They say practice makes perfect, so why not learn when there’s nothing living to lose?

5. Cannabis games

Metaverse games are sure to include cannabis, just like Xbox, Microsoft, Nintendo, and other big platforms that have opened up to include entertainment geared directly towards stoners. Maybe we’ll be Metaverse farmers, trying to cultivate new strains to please consumers, or perhaps it’ll be about putting our skills to the test against friends. Anything is possible, and we can’t wait to see what it brings.

6. Education

How about receiving a virtual cannabis education in the Metaverse complete with talented teachers and funny classmates? A green VR university could make dreams happen that wouldn’t otherwise be possible by putting people from all over the world in connection with the right courses without the excess expense that would be incurred in the real world through relocation and the cost of living away from home. It could open doors for eager students and breed an entirely new generation of cannabis professionals.

7. Cannabis consultants

It’s hard out there for dedicated cannabis consultants, many of whom don’t really have a proper place in this industry, and that could all change overnight in the Metaverse. Instead of navigating complicated advertising restrictions and being restricted to only serving locals, these experts will have a whole new reach that will help them to succeed financially. This is going to be amazing for both professionals and consumers.

8. Pot parties

Pot parties without any complaints about noise or smell from nosy neighbours? Yes, please! And that’s exactly what we’re going to have in the Metaverse, where virtual homes, lounges, and venues will host some of the most incredible 420-inspired bashes you’ve ever witnessed!

9. Real estate agents who know their green

Metaverse real estate is a real thing, and cannabis entrepreneurs are going to need help navigating the process. This is where a whole new job will be created, as we’ll need agents who can assist VR cannabis businesses to find the ideal location and set up shop without breaking any rules. Claim a plot of land to build your own or escape to a great oasis in the virtual world that boasts all things cannabis. Either way, it’s going to be an adventure.

10. Virtual seshes

After living through COVID-19, it’s no wonder so many people feel more comfortable meeting in the virtual world, and here, we could someday have complete digital smoking circles, including friends from all around the globe. Throw on some music, cue the lights, and have great conversations over a virtual bowl. That sounds like heaven to us!
