Whether you are feeling a little bit down about the sudden, constant cloud cover and having to pack up the pool for the winter, it can sometimes help to seek a bit of inspiration to stay busy and enjoy what remains of the most enjoyable season of the year. After all, most of us end up feeling cooped up for the entire snowy season, so why drawn out what is already far too long to hide indoors?

Though everyone has their own preferences and hobbies, these are a few handy ideas to keep stored away for the days that you really need help figuring out how to kill the boredom, while getting high.

1. Have an edibles picnic

This is the perfect time to get in touch with your inner chef and break out the edibles recipes that will keep you feeling good, without the need to smoke. The best part is that you can bring extras to maintain the buzz throughout the course of the evening, but you do want to be sure to select cold options that will hold up in the heat. Also, don’t forget to bring regular food and plenty of water. Otherwise, a severe case of cottonmouth could leave you in an uncomfortable situation with no relief.

2. Stargazing

Pretty soon, most people will be running indoors as the sun sets which triggers an instant temperature drop that can induce chills. Now is the time to take advantage of the warmer spring evenings, where wrapping up in a soft and cozy blanket with a few joints or blunts can be its own slice of heaven on earth. You can make things even more interesting by pulling out a telescope and making a game out of searching for the closest stars and constellations.

3. Make a bong with things you find outside

At the end of a long or stressful week, there is nothing better than a bong hit. Unfortunately, weed accessories are not generally suited for most types of adventures. However, you can make a bong, using only a few items that you probably already have on you, or can easily found strewn about outside.  Do your part for nature and have some fun. All you need is one plastic bottle, one piece of aluminum which can be found in a cigarette pack (or other bowl alternatives), a lighter and a pin, toothpick or another fine, sharp object to poke small breathing holes. Wondering how it’s done? Below, is a quick step by step guide on how to make a bong with only one water bottle.

  1. Remove the lid from the bottle and wash it thoroughly with warm water.

  2. Pat the pieces dry with a paper towel.

  3. Pinch a small portion of the side of the container towards the base where your bowl will sit. To remove it, take a lighter to the pinched piece until it peels back wide and open enough for a bowl.

  4. Take a piece of aluminum foil and use the tip of your finger to shape it into a fair-sized bowl.

  5. Press the foil section into the melted hole, and gently fold or rip away excess if necessary.

  6. Now use a pin, or other narrow and sharp device to poke anywhere from 3-6 small holes into the aluminum foil.

  7. Fill the bowl with freshly ground cannabis.

  8. Spark up the herb and inhale the goodness. It’s that easy.

4. CBD oil and sports

Did you know that CBD products can provide a boost of energy along with an enhanced level of focus that is perfect for playing active sports like soccer, volleyball, or basketball? If you prefer the more recreational aspects of marijuana use, then you might want to invest in an invigorating cannabis strain that will give you a little push in the right direction, but CBD can dramatically help to improve your game, and keep you alert no matter how potent, the weed you are smoking might be.

5. Trail wander with a blunt roll or one-hitter pipe

The federal and state laws might be able to restrict you from wandering in certain public areas with a lit joint in hand, but that doesn’t make it impossible to enjoy marijuana outdoors.  Instead of heading to your local park and busy sidewalks, you might need to get away from people and family-focused activities. A great place to start is your local conservation area, which should offer enough privacy to smoke a blunt in peace, while also enjoying an uninterrupted high.
