Tokers make up the majority of cannabis users. Even though there’s been plenty of hype surrounding healthier options, it’s a method that just hits differently in almost every way. Sadly, once it became legal, despite the hopes and dreams of millions of consumers, it didn’t exactly become easier to enjoy the plant's many benefits in public, and that’s forced many to get creative if they want to partake anywhere other than their own backyard or basement.

Still, there are options, and if you’re craving an adventure fueled by your favorite cannabinoids then this list is an excellent place to start. However, it is important to check your local laws and bylaws, to ensure you aren’t going to get into any trouble.

1. The park

No, we don’t mean the kind of park with a swingset and gym equipment. Instead, search for trails, conservation areas, and other outdoor public spaces more geared toward adults.

2. The beach

Sun, sand, and waves, it really doesn’t get much better than this! Unfortunately, most regions maintain no smoking rules for public beaches, so you might have to search for an unoccupied area or private beachfront to avoid any potential problems, but the good vibes and great times will be worth it!

3. Lounges

Unfortunately, lounges are still prohibited in many regions, so not everyone has this option, but if you ever get the opportunity to visit one, we highly recommended checking out the one-of-a-kind experience. Every single one offers a unique vibe, entertainment, and setting with everything dedicated to the most passionate cannabis consumers.

4. A treehouse

If you’re one of the lucky few with access to your own treehouse, then why not start there? It’s high in the air, quiet, and out in the great outdoors so the smoke can ventilate quickly, and it’s a whole lot of fun!

5. On a balcony

These days almost everyone either has a balcony or knows someone who does. That is especially true for those in populated areas, and though it might seem a bit boring it doesn’t take much to spice things up. Toss on some music, get out a few comfy chairs and toke away while taking in a spectacular view.

6. At the movies

Cannabis has the ability to help us relax, laugh more, and clear our heads, which is great when you’re trying to pay attention to a solid plot point, or while contemplating the meaning of a good joke. Of course, you won’t be able to toke indoors. Still, with a few hits before taking a seat, the whole experience can be instantly taken to the next level.

7. Cannabis events (festivals, conferences, and socials)

Whether it’s a cannabis conference, festival, show, or some other 420-inspired event these are some of the best places to get high, because you’ll be surrounded by like-minded people who might just jump in on a sesh.

8. Outdoor markets

We’re not suggesting visiting a local farmers market with a joint in hand, as they might not be overly accepting of smoke of any kind and you’re only going to leave with a bunch of food and munchies you don’t need. However, most cannabis markets which are full of vendors selling things like accessories or products openly accept and even encourage consumption on-site.

9. Rooftops

Rooftops are the highest point, so it only seems fitting to take advantage of the extra lift, with a few hits of your favorite strains.

10. On a boat

Not everyone has this option, but it’s not like you need to spark up on a giant yacht to get the fullest effect. With the wind in your hair, waves beneath your feet, and wide open waters, there’s no need to worry about stressing out others who may be in the vicinity. Just remember – impaired driving laws are the same on the water, so make sure to invite a sober captain along for the trip, and you’ll be golden.
