Gone are the days when visiting a cannabis convention in person was possible, as COVID-19 has brought the entire industry to a halt. For now, at least, there are safer opportunities to explore that you can partake in from home, and as large gatherings remain banned, some cannabis companies like NECANN have been working towards suitable alternatives that are just as awe-inspiring as the more traditional, in-person marijuana convention experiences.

NECANN online

NECANN’s online platform will offer a fully immersive online cannabis convention that will allow you to connect with other participants, engage with live feeds, and learn about over 500 different cannabis products via virtual exhibitors. It’s informative, but it also promises to be a whole lot of fun, with competitions, a cooking show, special events, and several speaker panels made up of industry professionals with knowledge and passion in the field of cannabis.

When is it?

The NECANN virtual marijuana convention will run from September 14th-16th, and the hours that you’ll need to tune in will depend on the content that you’d like to see most.

Exhibit hall hours:

Monday, September 14th to Tuesday, September 15thfrom 11am to 5pm

Wednesday, September 16th at 12pm

Who should attend

Registration fees

Some of the latest online cannabis events have been open to the public for free, but this particular gathering is expected to be the largest of its kind yet, so there is a small participation fee of $45 for those who want to register to take part in all that the NECANN convention has to offer. This price unlocks all of the content that will be available over the course of the 3-day event, so you don’t have to worry about hidden fees or upselling once you log into the portal.

How it works

  1. Visit the NECANN website to access the ticket portal to pay the required fee and register.

  2. On the day of the NECANN cannabis convention, log in to your email and look for the link to the NECANN online event portal.

  3. Click the link to log on and browse through everything that the online platform has to offer. If you’re a little bit early, then you can start by browsing through more than 500 virtual booths from participating companies or check out the contests that will be taking place throughout, so that you’re prepared to participate.

When it all ends

Some of the content from the NECANN cannabis convention will still be available after the event concludes, but this is a time-sensitive gathering that will end as planned. At that point, the portal will close, and you will no longer be able to interact with and browse through the most vital portions of the presentation, so make sure to log on at the appropriate time. Also, bear in mind that NECANN online will run on Eastern Standard time.
