COVID-19 has caused a great deal of damage to consumers by leaving them feeling exposed and unsafe when shopping in person, but if you reside in a covered region within Ontario, OCS might be the solution. Unfortunately, most dispensaries in this area are no longer allowed to offer alternative means such as delivery, as this feature is something that the provincially owned and operated store has a monopoly on, but until recently, they’re charging quite handsomely to do it.

OCS has recognized the challenges that its customers are facing with the pandemic, closures, mass levels of unemployment, and stress, and to help, the company is now offering free delivery to anyone who resides in their covered areas. The only downside is that many cities aren’t set up to offer same-day or express deliveries, so if you’re hoping to take advantage of this generous offer, it’s important to see if you qualify, as regular mail can take several days to arrive.

Same-day and Express services

OCS plans to expand its offering area to include several other regions soon but for now, these are the cities that can take advantage of the fast and free cannabis delivery services. Same day allows for really speedy delivery in under 24 hours, and Express will be brought to your door in 3 days or less.

Why this is such a great thing

As the region continues to see an upswing in new COVID-19 cases, it is more important than ever that we work together to slow the spread of the illness. Offering something as simple as delivery in times like these helps to keep everyone from the dispensary workers to their consumers safe and healthy while providing an essential service that so many people rely on. Though some might argue that these fees should have been waved long before we faced such hardships, it’s a positive move that is being praised as a lifesaver for many Ontarians.
