Who should avoid CBD products

Pure CBD products are often viewed as the holy grail of cannabis because they offer a wide range of benefits to both recreational and medicinal consumers, and they won’t impair the mind. Those things are true, but it is also important to recognize that it’s not necessarily great for everyone. In fact, there are many who report less than ideal results, and in some cases, that can be devastating. Even the best CBD oil creators cannot stop or avoid some of the things we mention here.

The benefits of CBD are great, but if you fall into any of the categories below, then it might be a good idea to look elsewhere for relief.

1. Those with difficulty falling asleep

Some people take CBD for sleep, as it can help to regulate serotonin, which is the brain's way of telling the body to go to sleep, but not everyone has such success. In fact, some studies have shown that CBD may be detrimental to the sleep patterns of consumers, as it seems to boast more wakeful effects that are uplifting rather than sedating. If you struggle to fall asleep, then it might be better to look towards THC for a solution.

2. Anyone on a prescription medication

CBD products can often work in conjunction with prescription medications to deliver relief. However, that is not always the case. Some interactions between cannabidiol and pharmaceuticals can place patients directly in harm's way by rendering certain treatments either undereffective or hyper-effective. This is why it’s so important to consult a medical practitioner before mixing CBD with prescription medications.

3. Those who’ve had an adverse reaction

CBD products are supposed to help with things like pain, inflammation, and appetite but in rare circumstances, it can cause a severe reaction that delivers a whole realm of discomfort instead. For some, it makes them nauseous or dizzy, while for others, it might induce a burst of energy that just doesn’t feel quite right. In the case of oils, while they are often used in edibles, there may be a real allergic reaction to the ingredients, so if you ever feel this way, it’s important to stop until you can figure out what’s causing the episode.

4. Anyone who is looking to get “high”

CBD is typically viewed as a medicinal cannabis compound because it doesn’t induce a heavy intoxication sense of euphoria like its close cousin THC. However, for recreational consumers who are looking for more than a slight boost in energy, it might not be enough, no matter how high of a dose you take. In this case, avoiding CBD products might not be the only answer, instead, it might be most effective to utilize both THC and CBD together.

5. Those who have experienced little to no benefit from using CBD

Have you invested a small fortune into CBD products only to see little to no benefit from doing so? Have you spent at least 3 months with no changes in how you feel from day to day, and if so, have you tried varying doses to see if it makes any difference? If you answered yes to those questions, then you might want to avoid CBD products only because they’re not giving you the results you seek, and there may be other more suitable solutions being ignored if all of your attention is in only one place. Though we love to see individuals who succeed with CBD, it’s just not entirely worth it for everyone.
