One may question if there is a cure for cancer. This disease is the second most common type of cancer that affects people in the United States. Two hundred twenty-five thousand people will receive the diagnosis of lung cancer each year.

Typically, the disease of lung cancer is treated aggressively with chemotherapy and other treatments that have adverse side-effects. However, there is new research available, that suggests that the use of cannabis oil for treating cancer growths, may come under the heading of natural cancer cures.

Small studies have been conducted, and the results indicate that cannabis oil could help to stop the growth of certain cancers. Cannabis oil is already being credited today for managing the debilitating side effects of specific cancer treatments that are made available for people living with cancer today.

Types of cannabis oil

One needs to be aware of the different types of cannabis oil that are available for the treatment of cancer include.

  1. CBD oil
  • Non-psychedelic
  • Contains no THC
  • Therapeutic effects include easing of pain, anxiety, and the impact of specific chemo.
  1. Marijuana-derived oil
  • Extracted from the same plant used for its buds
  • Has a higher ratio of THC
  • Psychoactive effects
  • Can contain different types of weed
  1. Hemp-derived oil
  • Similar to the cannabis plant
  • Contains no THC
  • Can contain CBD but of more inferior quality
  1. Rick Simpson Oil (RSO)
  • Contains none or minuscule amounts of CBD
  • THC levels are very high

Benefits of using cannabis oil for cancer

There are some documented benefits of using cannabis for the treatment of lung cancers that include relief from:

  • Nausea
  • Anxiety
  • Pain
  • Depression
  • Headaches

Cannabis oil is also well known for aiding in the side effects that are commonly endured from the conventional treatment of cancer. Some of these include:

  • Vomiting
  • Reduced appetite
  • Nausea
  • Fatigue
  • Pain

Rick Simpson Oil is a medical cannabis oil product, named for the cannabis activist Rick Simpson. He developed an oil which he claims cleared his spots in three days. The high levels of THC in RSO, are not found in other medical cannabis extracts. The compound THC is responsible for the euphoric and sometimes descried as high effects, that are associated with the use of marijuana.

Today many companies are selling RSO. However, Rick Simpson's web site recommends its viewers to make it at home. The site suggests using Cannabis Indica for your cannabis strain when making it at home. The cannabis website indicates that these strains and formulas are the key that will assist the cancer patient in healing.

It is vital to keep up with your health providers' recommended plan of treatment. Consult with your health provider before changing your plan or adding cannabis to your health regime. Natural cancer cures like cannabis, need to be discussed with your health provider, so that future treatment of the tumors, are not made any more difficult to treat.

There is not enough evidence that can suggest or recommend cannabis oil or other forms of cannabis as a viable treatment for cancer. However, researchers are noting that the active compounds in cannabis are capable of effectively decreasing cancer growth.
