Adderall is the combination of a couple of stimulant drugs, amphetamine and dextroamphetamine. This drug is prescribed to treat ADHD and narcolepsy whose symptoms include sudden attacks of sleepiness in the daytime along with all around sleepiness. Adderall is in the class of drugs known as central nervous system stimulants. The drug works by stimulating the brain. This stimulation is beneficial to an ADHD person by providing a calming and focusing ability. This drug can evoke feelings of euphoria for people that are not prescribed the medication for the symptoms of ADHD. It is used as a drug of choice for some to increase the ability to focus and think.

What does Adderall do?

Adderall has some unkind side-effects. If you have a predisposition for heart problems, you may run a risk of sudden death. The increase of mental health issues like depression and bipolar disorders along with aggressive behavior may be increased with the use of Adderall. If you are wondering what Adderall does, here are some serious issues attributed to what Adderall does to a person. For children, the use of Adderall may cause psychotic symptoms. Children may have hallucinations (seeing things that are not there) and delusional thoughts of believing things that are not true. Adderall is known to be habit forming for those that extend the recommended dose. Children under three should not take this drug.

Let us look at the combination of Adderall and weed aka “weederall.” The combination can lead to an ideal partnership, depending on who you talk to. Some have experienced racing hearts and other unpleasant feelings like shallow breathing.

So why do people mix Adderall and weed? Some use it to counteract the negative effects of the drug. Some studies suggest that the similarity of the two substances may suggest that cannabis could replace Adderall.

When Adderall and weed are used in combination here are some of the effects you can expect to feel:

  1. Heighten euphoria from the increase in dopamine levels that increase pleasurable euphoric sensations.
  2. Adderall will increase your heart rate, the combination could be dangerous because of this
  3. Some of the side-effects of the combination may include the reduction of anxiety and insomnia associated with use

Mixing Adderall and weed seem to be safe as far as studies currently show. The mixing of the two seems to be less risky to your health than alcohol and Adderall mixed.

One benefit of the Adderall and weed mix is the potential for reducing the need to use Adderall at all and its dependency.

When using cannabis, it can help the user of Adderall, whether it be prescribed or otherwise. It can reduce the negative side-effects of the drug. The ultimate decision on which substance is safer for you is up to the individual.

However, as always, any change in your regular medicinal habits is something that should be discussed with your health practitioner. The addition of weed to your daily routine if you have ADHD could prove to be a remedy that is necessary for you and one that comes with little or no side-effects like those from some traditional medications prescribed.
