Smoking marijuana is one of the most popular ways of consuming. One such way of smoking is by using a pipe however not all smokers of marijuana always use a pipe. Many consumers just roll a joint, light it up and then smoke.

To roll a joint, there are a few supplies you will need to have before starting the process. These supplies include:

  • A good cannabis strain, one of your liking
  • Rolling papers
  • Crutch
  • Cannabis grinder

You may be wondering how to roll a joint with a roller, well, here are some steps to follow:

1. First, grind the weed to break up the cannabis.

The cannabis should break easily if it is dried properly. It is recommended to use a grinder instead of your hand to avoid them getting sticky and not stick to the paper. However, if you do not have a grinder, then you can use your fingers with the help of a pair of scissors or a knife. Although this may cause the weed to get messy.

2. Secondly, you will need to make a crutch, somewhat like a filter.

This can be made from any paper. Some joint papers also carry a crutch in the package, so that would be useful, but if not, then a thin cardboard can be an effective material for a crutch. When using the cardboard as the crutch it should be rolled to the same thickness of the joint.

Bear in mind a crutch is not a necessity, but it will help to prevent the weed from falling out, and it ensures the joint remains stable as well as prevents your fingers from getting burnt.

3. Its time to form the joint

Evenly distribute the ground cannabis on the rolling paper so that the joint can be rolled easily. After the paper is filled with the weed, it is time to form the joint.                                                                            Different types of joint papers are available on the market with even flavours. Also, some people enjoy using hemp paper because despite being thin, it is also strong and also burnt evenly allowing the cannabis to remain flavourful.

4. Time to roll and ‘tuck’

Seeing that the joint is now formed, and cannabis has been added, place the joint between your fingers, rolling the paper back and forth between them to ensure that the cannabis is stable and secure.                  In order to roll a good joint, you must be gentle in your handling of the joint. This step can be challenging, but the rolling process should continue slowly back k and forth to perfection. Ensure that the joint is well compressed which will allow the joint to burn slowly. Now tightly tuck the paper at the crutch. When all the flaps are tucked, continue to roll. Afterwards, slightly wet the glue strip with the tip of the tongue and pin it down.

In completion, the paper at the top of the joint should be twisted and sealed. And you should now be good and ready for a smoke.
