When the fungi come into contact with the roots of growing marijuana plants, it works alongside the root system to create mycorrhiza in a condensed form. This gathering helps the plants to absorb essential nutrients, bring in plenty of water, creates the ideal environment for cultivation and helps to protect the crop against damage and disease.

Why are these fungi so useful when growing cannabis?

The reason the relationship between living organisms is so effective is, it is beneficial for both parties. The marijuana plants receive a constant supply of nutrients alongside a layer of protection, and the mycorrhiza fungi feed off the extensive root system. When one is thriving, the other will be doing just as well. Mycorrhiza fungi are also quite plentiful in most dirt, so its high presence and teamwork status makes it the ideal match for growing cannabis.
