What is a cannabis infused cartridge?

A cannabis-infused cartridge is a tank for a vape that contains one of several different kinds of marijuana concentrates, and or other additives.

The effects of a THC cartridge

THC is the psychoactive element that is produced by cannabis plants, and the effects can range from light, to moderate or intense and generally include sensations of relaxation, euphoria, and calm.

What is a hemp infused cartridge?

A hemp infused cartridge is a tank for a vape that holds one of a few different variations of marijuana concentrates, and or other additives.

The effects of a CBD cartridge

CBD is a primarily medicinal element that produces no psychoactive high, so the results are generally milder and less noticeable than those of THC. CBD will not affect motor function, and will gradually reduce inflammation, which can lead to a reduction in a variety of different symptoms, including pain, seizures, anxiety, depression, and nausea.

The two most sought after primary cannabinoids that are found in cannabis and hemp plants are THC and CBD, and both can often be found in vape cartridges.

THC cartridges are always infused using cannabis plant materials.

CBD cartridge
CBD carts can be infused using both cannabis and hemp plant matter.

Combination cartridges
Combination carts are typically infused with concentrates that have been derived from both plant materials, that are measured and added for a balanced effect from both cannabinoids.

Concentrate options

Thanks to the constant advancement of technology within the cannabis industry, there are many different combinations that can be found in THC or CBD cartridges. Below you will find the four most common along with their expected look and consistency.

Vape juices are made of watered-down mixtures of either hemp or marijuana concentrates. These carts are typically quite liquid-y while cold, and transparent. Juices generally contain the lowest cannabinoid concentrations and are ideal for new and less experienced consumers.

Hemp and cannabis oils are thicker than juices, and often much more potent. Oils will slowly move around if you tilt the cartridge but will be slower than water. These concentrates offer an average of 80% potency and come in a wide range of transparent and solid colors depending on the method used to make them.

Wax is a concentrate that is much thicker than oil and is generally between 80%-90% concentrated. The consistency of this one is just like a candle, so a true wax cartridge should be full of a thick solid looking concentrate that doesn’t turn into a liquid until heat is applied.

Shatter is one of the purest forms of hemp or marijuana concentrate, and it offers a potent 85%-99% average in cannabinoid content. When it is cold, shatter will break just like glass as the name suggests, and it will turn into a more runny consistency as heat is applied. Generally, shatter is a gold, yellow color and almost entirely transparent.

Why you should consider using a CBD or THC cartridge instead of smoking marijuana

Though there is no evidence to suggest that consistently smoking marijuana will cause you any long-term harm, the act of inhaling smoke is quite irritating to the lungs. Vaping with a CBD or THC cartridge allows for perfectly measured doses, less lung irritation, and no harmful carcinogens. Next to edibles, vaping is the next healthiest option for the consumption of cannabinoids, and it’s convenient, and flameless function makes for a smoother user experience that is much more enjoyable and stress-free.
